Sector Mission Councils
The mandate of the Sector Mission Council is to develop and implement a Sector Plan inclusive of clear lines of action and responsibility, which aligns to the District Plan. Members of the Sector Mission Council have been appointed by the Lasallian Mission Council after consultation with the Sectors and with the prior approval of the Brother Visitor.
In accordance with its mandate, the Sector Mission Council will have responsibility within the Sector for:

Provide leadership and direction for the Lasallian mission

Develop, implement and monitor a Sector Plan and Annual Action Plans

Promote Lasallian formation programs.

Promote the Lasallian vocation, including the vocation of Brother
-
Develop effective programs and structures for the provision of youth ministry

Ensure the District Policies in regard to Child and Vulnerable Adult Safety and Wellbeing are implemented

Develop structures and processes to maximise the financial sustainability for the Sector
-
Access sources of funding for projects and setting priorities for projects’

Develop and manage a Sector budget and provide regular financial reports to Lasallian Mission Council in an agreed format

Ensurethat an external financial audit is conducted on an annual basis

Support initiatives in relation to strengthening Lasallian networks

Consult with Lasallian works and entities with a view to identifying and responding to specific local needs

Liaise with international (District, Region, Institute) Lasallian groups as necessary or requires
Committees:
The Sector Mission Council has established the following Committees:
- Sector Mission Finance Committee: The Finance Committee is an advisory Committee. It provides information and advice to the Sector Mission Council (SMC) in relation to the financial operation and viability of the Sector. Membership consists of:
- Chair of the Sector Mission Council (SMC);
- Sector Bursar;
- at least one other member of the Sector Mission Council (SMC);
- any other person(s) deemed by the Sector Mission Council (SMC) to be appropriate in particular circumstances.
- Brothers' Life Committee: The Brother’s Life Committee is an advisory Committee established by the Brother Visitor. It provides information and advice to the Brother Visitor, District Council, and Sector Co-ordinator in relation to matters pertaining specifically to the life of the Brothers in the Sector. Membership consists of:
- Sector Co-ordinator
- Sector Bursar
- Community Directors
- 1 elected temporary professed Brother resident in the Sector (Pakistan)
- Sector Finance Committee (Brother's Life): The Finance Committee - Brother’s Life is an advisory Committee established by the Brother Visitor. It provides information and advice to the Brothers Life Committee, and the Economic Council in relation to the operation and viability of the Brothers’ finances within the Sector. Membership consists of:
- Sector Co-ordinator
- Sector Bursar
- at least one other member of the Brother’s Life Committee
- 1 elected temporary professed Brother resident in the Sector (Pakistan)

The Sector Co-ordinator assists the Brother Visitor in the exercise of his responsibilities and has the following specific functions:

Accompanies Community Directors in the pastoral care of the Brothers in the Sector. He ensures the vitality of community life as well as all mission works of the Sector.

Promotes and supports structures that encourage Association for Mission.

Promotes a sense of District within the sector by effectively disseminating District directions and initiatives and mobilizing support and participation of members of the sectors.

Is the official representative of the interests of the Institute in the sector and may be designated by the Brother Visitor for certain legal or official matters. In legal matters, he is the official representative of the interests of the Institute.

Manages the financial and property resources of the sector in consultation with the Sector Finance Committee under the delegated authority of the District Bursar determined by the Visitor.

Acquisition and alienation of Sector Properties must have the approval of the Brother Visitor and the District Council and fulfill all other canonical requirements when needed.

Represents the Brother Visitor in the conference of Major Superiors and other relevant Lay and Ecclesiastical Associations
